Community Arts Camp 2004
June 14 - 18 & June 21 - 17 at Community United Church of Christ 805 S. Sixth, Champaign
 At this musical theater day camp for children 3rd-8th grade, campers will learn a musical with themes of community, respect, self-esteem, and spirituality in an interfaith context. Sponsored by Community United Church or Chirst, a progressive congregation located on the corner of 6th and Daniel in Champaign. Schedule:Community Arts Camp 2004 meets Monday through Friday 9 am - 3 pm.
Performances will be held Saturday evening June 26, and Sunday morning June 27. Campers must be available both weeks. Arts Camp Waterslide Party on Friday June 18 from 7-8 pm at the Sholem Pool Waterslide, 2200 W. Sangamon Dr., Centennial Park in Champaign. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Locker room facilities are available and lifeguards will be on duty.
Please let Emily Rogers or the church office (344-5091) know Friday noon June 18 if you plan to join us so Emily can give the park district a head count. Cost:The cost for the two-week day camp is $100. Some scholarship money is provided for campers who would not otherwise be able to attend. Donations to the scholarship fund are welcome. (Suggested donation $25). About the Directors:Bob Smith is the music specialist at Booker T. Washington Elementary School and the music director at Community United Church of Christ. Angela Schneider is the performing arts instructor at Franklin Middle School. Mr. Smith is returning in his third year as a Community Arts camp director, and Ms. Schneider returns in her second year.
