To: Communiweb members and associates From: Lanie Dickel Date: 2004 January 25 Topic: REPORT on Web raising effort - 04Jan25 Greetings: Inspite of wintry weather we made headway this afternoon in learning how to get around the WebEasel site, create and edit files. With a little wrap up by a number of us during the week, our site should be ready to "go live" in time for the Annual Meeting next Sunday at which time David Gerstencker will make an announcement of this. After site goes live as the new www.community-ucc.org, Deb Townsend has agreed to wander the site looking for typos, inconsistencies, failed links, etc. and will report back to me. I know that I've made mistakes along the way so am grateful for her upcoming proofreading for us. Present today were David Gerstenecker, David Schowalter, Terri Pepper, Mike Mulberry, Tom Ward, Tom Watembach, Kevin Rock - briefly (before he left ahead of the weather to home in Paxton), and myself, Lanie. Thank you all for making this a succdessful effort. For those who had to miss the webeasel raising, we can do one or both of two things to get you up to speed. Tom Ward is willing to have a small group meet him some evening or weekend afternoon at his workplace so that you can use the computers there AND/OR I am willing to come to your home or you to mine to have a one-on-one session to show you how to login, get up your page, and how to edit and "publish" it. For both approaches, this would be sometime AFTER the site goes "live". I will be away Jan 30 through Feb 7 so my sessions would have to be after Feb 7. Would the following people let me know which of the above possibilies would work best for you. Linda Morgan, Jean Creswell, Rick Langendorf, Dave Willcox, Scott Bush, Kevin Rock, Deb Townsend, and Ruth Gilbert (if interested).
